The whole phone freezes, restarts, locks on its own. Even creating an account on reddit to comment on this post made my keyboard freeze up and become unresponsive. Seriously considering getting another phone. It's been longer and I was told, when I called them yesterday, to expect an email about a same day replacement as I was very vocal about my issues and use the handset as my daily driver and also retured my last phone to them upon receiving this new one, after transferring data. I contacted Samsung within a week of owning it and they said they'd contact me in 24/48 hours to update me on a replacement. I received it on the 11th March and I've been scouring the Internet looking for forums where people have the same issues as myself. I've got an S22 Ultra Exynos/AMD chipset (European Model) and I've had the same issues. The new one is much more snappy, and no weird problems. No crashes, no issues whatsoever! I also made me realise that there were more that just the crashing issue with the first unit I got, as that device was slow as just felt "off". I got a new unit at the end of April, and that one works great! And because of supply chain issues at that time, I waited well over a month for a new phone. Anyone else experiencing this? :)ĮDIT: After a lot of back and forth they accepted the device as DOA (Samsung still didn't acknowledge that it was a known issue). Making the phone unusable as an actual phone. TL DR: My S22 Ultra freezes and crashes during phone calls 90% of the time. If have tried the following - no luck:Safe ModeDifferent SIM cardFactory reset (done that twice) It's entirely unusable - I'm just so bummed as I was looking forward to getting a new phone, and having to return it / service it, is quite a setback :( It randomly freezes for about a minute, and then restarts (this can happen even if I'm not using the phone - it's just lying on my coffee table, and I suddenly see the Samsung logo when it's booting up again). Skip forward to today, and the phone crashes and restarts every time I try to make a call. I made quite a few tests the following day, but continued to use the phone. I tried again, and the call was cut off, and the phone crashed after a minuted and a half of call time. The phone then showed me the Samsung logo, and I realised it had restarted, cutting off my call. It was fine for about a minute and a half, then suddenly the call was dropped, and when I tried to turn the screen on, nothing. The problem started when I made mye first proper call. Then I installed my most used apps, and started tweaking the phone to my liking. I set up the phone (no transferring old data, as I like starting clean), and made a test call (first thing I usually do to make sure I'm reachable) - Good, we are online and ready for action. Although the phone doesn't feel quite as snappy as my soon to be three year old OnePlus 7t Pro. The initial impression is that it's a great phone - Beautiful screen, great camera, and the s-pen has a lot of uses. I pre-ordered the Samsung S22 Ultra (Exynos version, EU) in that sweet green colour just shy of a month ago - And 5 days ago it arrived. Hi,I am making this post to figure out if I'm the only one experiencing these issues, and not to get any sort of solution - As I don't think there is any beside returning the phone / service.
